Only the Butterflies are Free tells the story of the Holocaust through live survivor stories with music written or performed in the camps, including Brundibar, Moor Soldaten, Buchenwald, works by Mahler, Bosmans and Wallfisch, whose grandmother was a musician at Auschwitz, Plegaria, the tango of death, and a new piece by Charles Mason.
