On October 13, the HDEC planned a “Drive-By” for our beloved Survivor Julius Eisenstein’s 101st Birthday!
The event was wonderful. Upon arrival, Julius was greeted with balloons, cake and everyone sang “Happy Birthday”! Mayor Joy Cooper of Hallandale Beach also presented Julius with a “Key to the City” and thanked him for his many years devoted to educating our students.
The day was captured by our wonderful volunteer photographer Howie Sonnenschein as well as Local 10 News, WSVN Channel 7 and CBS Channel 6 who aired segments.
