For the past 4 weeks, the Holocaust Documentation & Education Center has been in touch with Governor Ron DeSantis’s staff, Jared Moscowitz, Director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management and Jared Rosenstein, Legislative Affairs Director, to implement a workable in-home COVID-19 vaccination program for our South Florida Holocaust Survivors.
Governor Ron DeSantis, as seen below, delighted Judy Rodan, one of our beloved Holocaust Survivors, who was honored Wednesday at our 2nd Miami-Dade County Zoom Student Awareness Day, with a very special surprise visit yesterday morning, as she received her vaccination at home. As of now, we know 750 Holocaust Survivors and their spouses will be receiving the vaccine at home and each of them are especially relieved and tremendously grateful to the Governor and his staff for this wonderful and amazing homebound program.
We are incredibly honored to have helped bring this program to fruition for our cherished Holocaust Survivors, who for 41 years, have always been and will always be the heart and soul of the Holocaust Documentation & Education Center.
