The film tells the story of Rushan Abbas, an American Uyghur Activist who chronicled the search for her sister who was detained by the Chinese Communist Party. Her sister is one of 2-3 million Uyghurs who have been taken to concentration camps in China. Filmed over a dozen countries, “In Search of My Sister” is a story of American Uyghur Activist who’s sister is one of 1.8-3 million Uyghurs taken by Chinese Communist Party. She embarks on a journey to create awareness and find clues to whereabouts of her missing sister.
