As the Holocaust Documentation & Education Center continues to feature and offer a wide variety of topics on the Holocaust, today we are adding the following to our list from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM):

Program:  “The Art of Protest: Then & Now”

Platform:  This program is available online as part of the USHMM Facebook Live Series.

Polish-born artist Arthur Szyk was alarmed by the Nazi threat and used his pen and paper to call public attention to the persecution of Europe’s Jews. Art has long been used as a form of protest to influence social and political action. Learn about the power of art – then and now – to change minds and highlight our shared humanity. – USHMM

Speaker:
Dr. Steven Luckert, Senior Program Curator, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
